Protected since 1929, the La Jolla Cove Ecological Preserve is abundant with beautiful marine life. Sea lions and harbor seals frequent the preserve. A close-up encounter with these beautiful sea mammals is not unlikely and always makes for a memorable high point of any snorkel adventure.

La Jolla Cove faces to the north, a unique quality in southern California, that limits most the ocean activity in the Cove.  Therefore, it is usually very calm in the Cove and the visibility is usually quite good—sometimes even up to thirty feet!  Snorkeling in La Jolla Cove is a very popular summertime activity.

Experience the beauty of La Jolla's underwater park on our 2 hour snorkeling adventure. La Jolla Cove is a very small beach nestled between the 7 seacaves at sandstone cliffs and La Jolla point.  It is only a few blocks from the village area of downtown La Jolla, and is an internationally recognized snorkeling destination. Our guides will lead you on an incredible journey that starts at La Jolla Cove. Snorkelers will see the abundant wildlife of the La Jolla ecological preserve (lots of Garibaldi, the California state fish, as well as Surfperch, Senoritas, Rockfish and sometimes even some leopard sharks).

After your guided snorkel tour, have a quick fresh water rinse, dry off and into your dry clothes.
Then relax in the park, while overlooking the the La Jolla Cove, with a healthy & delicious box lunch and water (provided as part of your adventure) and feel free to ask your guide any questions about some of the marine life you just saw.  

Waterproof cameras are available for you to purchase. Personalized instruction and all your
equipment are included.

These trips are perfect for families, though kids (and adults) need to be able to swim!
