We will tell you all about the tide pools on the Pacific coastline. Tide pools are small pools of water that provide a home for many different kinds of animals and plants.

A tide pool can be found in any of the three different intertidal zones;

• the high intertidal zone,
• the middle intertidal zone, and
• the lower intertidal zone.

Each animal that lives here has to adapt to the zone that they live in. Some animals have to adapt to the sun, others mostly to water and others to both.
